Street Cricket Coach
Steelbacks In The Community are looking to appoint a part time Cricket coach to support the delivery on our Chance to Shine Street Cricket Projects. You’ll be coaching alongside a Steelbacks in the Community staff member each week and required to help plan and deliver the sessions.
COACHING ESSENTIALS
- ECB Foundation 1 coaching qualification as a minimum

Assistant Groundsperson
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Groundsperson to join the Club’s Grounds Team.
The Assistant Groundsperson will be a key part of the Grounds team, ensuring that the ground is of an excellent quality. Prior experience is not needed as full training can be given; the club can also offer a training programme with recognised qualifications after a qualifying period.

Marketing and Communications Manager
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join the Club’s Commercial Team. This new position will lead on developing and delivering an effective marketing/communications strategy across all areas of the business, incorporating the professional and recreational games as well as The County Ground as an events venue.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing on a number of marketing campaigns throughout the calendar year, focusing on delivering clear ROI across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the production of all marketing materials for both cricket and events via internal graphic design as well as external agencies i.e. advertising, brochures, digital and social assets
- Responsible for the creation and oversight of website content and oversee all website management with web agency
- Deliver effective and timely email campaigns to targeted audiences via MailChimp.
- First point of contact for all press, ECB and PCA enquiries
- Manage media interview and image requests, and liaise with players as required
- Production of press pack and delivery of press/media day
- Manage and delivery the Clubs’ Live Stream, including the management and booking of commentators and production staff
- Work closely with Steelbacks in the Community and the Steelbacks Foundation to deliver a calendar of schools activity utilising players to inspire and engage the audience

Events and Operations Manager
As a key member of the Club’s management team, you will manage the operation and delivery of the Events/ Catering requirements at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
The role is focused on ensuring all events at The County Ground operate smoothly, whether that be a wedding, function, concert, or a cricket matchday in its varying formats and duration. You will work with our current catering partner Portfolio Events along with the Event Supervisors and NCCC event staff.
Ensuring each function runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible, creating an exceptional experience for all who visit the club for matchdays and non-cricketing events.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To monitor actual expenditure against budgets for the operational areas of the Club, and to prepare and provide all relevant financial information and reports. To achieve the events sales and profitability.
- Prepare for events as per the client’s specification and plans. Including, but not exclusively limited to, the preparation of event spaces and kitchens.
- Co-ordinate events in a professional and personal way, liaising with clients on the day to ensure the event runs smoothly and effectively and oversea with the set up and breakdown process.

Ticket and Retail Administrator
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is looking for a Ticket and Retail Administrator to join the team. As a Ticket and Retail Administrator, you will be helping to support the Commercial Department, in the Club Shop providing customer service to our supporters both face to face, via email and on the phone.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate Events & Hospitality Sales Executive
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are currently seeking an experienced corporate events and hospitality sales executive to join our talented team.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for finding new revenue opportunities in the core areas of corporate events and cricket hospitality by driving sales leads, building a pipeline and engaging with the local business community. Client relationships will be paramount for success in this role, and you will need to ensure all enquiries and leads are handled in a timely and professional manner, understanding the client needs in order to maximize each booking and event held at the venue. Whilst continuing to grow existing relationships, you will also identify new corporate bookers and new ways for us to deliver value to each client and conference/event.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to create new sales leads and source new business as part of an agreed strategy
- Handling the relationships of key clients with the primary objective to drive sales of food, beverage, room hire and hospitality within the venue
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times; in-person, email and telephone.

Head of Physical Performance
Optimise the physical performance of players within the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Professional Staff and to oversee the physical development program within the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Academy, Elite Player Pathway and National County Partners in collaboration with the Head of Athletic Development.
Contribute to the wider development of physical preparation for all players within the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club 1st Team Squad through to emerging players at the National County Partners.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To lead and deliver the strength and conditioning provision to all players within the clubs professional playing squad throughout the year, incorporating various stages of the season (e.g. pre and in season)
- To lead and co-ordinate the delivery of other physical performance services (e.g. sports science, nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, recovery, travel, hygiene) to all players within the clubs professional playing squad throughout the year.
- To oversee and lead the physical performance department, including the development of junior staff members.
- Provide specialist S&C input as required to support injury risk reduction, injury management, rehab and return to performance and competition based on scientific evidence based research.
- Using researched based scientific principles, aid in the development and delivery of a physical literacy pathway in conjunction with the Head of Athletic Development from 1st Team players through to NCP players.
- To provide 1st XI cover throughout the cricket season at both matches and training.
- Undertake physical performance testing in collaboration with the wider S&C and medical team at various stages of the season along with integrated individual monitoring to ensure the efficacy of the training programs.

As Partnership Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a large proportion of NCCC’s and ECB sponsorship partners.

Camera Operator
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are looking for a camera operator for the Club’s matchday live stream.
Supporting the Live Stream Producer, you will assist in making Northamptonshire’s stream the best presentation possible to provide an engaging experience for supporters and grow our remote fanbase. Under 11’s Pathway Girls Casual Coach
Steelbacks In The Community are looking to appoint an Under 11’s Pathway Girls Casual Coach, with proven experience in cricket coaching. The coach will be an assistant to the lead coach and must be a level 2 cricket coach, as well as having a valid ECB DBS check, safeguarding young cricketers and first aid qualified.
Hours: Casual hours that vary week per week. Work in the winter months on evenings and weekends. Work in the summer on days during the week or Sundays when required.

Assistant Ground Staff
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are looking to add a new member to our ground staff team on a summer contract.
An immediate start, this position will assist the Head Groundsman and wider ground staff team in ensuring the facilities at The County Ground are of a consistently high standard.
Previous experience in a similar role isn’t required but would be beneficial, full training will be provided on the job if needed.

Sunrisers Head Coach
It is Sunrisers Mission to deliver a successful and entertaining Sunrisers Senior Team, who inspire people across the region to consider cricket as a key component in their lives.
The Sunrisers region comprises the Counties of Essex CCC, Northamptonshire CCC, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), with Middlesex Cricket acting as the Regional Host and the employer of this role. The Sunrisers Head coach will be responsible for the environment, people and culture of the Sunrisers Senior Team, ensuring there is a clear alignment with regional priorities and performance indicators.
The Sunrisers Head Coach will primarily work at Senior level, whilst ensuring clear direction is given to all relevant performance pathways and stakeholders. The role requires the management of assistant and skills coaches and MDT working with Sports Science & Medicine, Operations and Talent Development departments.

Ticketing and Retail Part Time Staff
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Administration and distribution of match tickets purchased throughout the seasons fixtures.
- Responsible for the printing and management of complimentary tickets, subject to approval from manager.
- To maintain and manage all clubs’ enquiries and main email account, communicating directly with supporters regarding their queries or passing on emails to the relevant person/s.
- Retail Assistant within the club shop, to provide a friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to customers both within store and customer telephone calls
- First point of contact on club telephones, answering supporter questions and forwarding messages and callers to the right departments.
- To assist the Commercial department with any other key administration work across ticketing and our season ticket database.
- Responsible for the packaging and management of online retail orders, as well as in-store customers once the shop re-opens in the summer.
- Work within the ‘Ticket Office’ on matchdays, administrating complimentary and collection tickets, as well as undertaking any retail work on matchdays.

Graduate Strength and Conditioning Coach
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have an exciting opportunity for a Strength & Conditioning Coach
to join the Club’s Science and Medicine team on a part time contract.
Reporting to the club’s Head of Performance and Head of Athletic Development, this role will assist in
optimising the physical performance of players within the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Pro
Staff, Academy, Elite Player Pathway and National County Partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist in the delivery of Strength and Conditioning sessions to the clubs 1st team playing squad
throughout the winter months (November – March).
Deliver Strength and Conditioning provision to players involved with the clubs key National County
Partners and provide delivery to these squads throughout the winter months as directed by the clubs
Head of Athletic Development.
To provide academy and age group cover throughout the season (April – September) at both matches
and training.
Provide specialist S&C input as required to support injury risk reduction, injury management, rehab and
return to performance and competition based on scientific evidence based research.
Assist the physical performance testing in collaboration with the wider S&C and medical team at various
stages of the season along with integrated individual monitoring to ensure the efficacy of the training
programs.
Attend and contribute towards S&C department meetings.
Contribute to the annual Sport Science and Medicine Audit.

Livestream Producer
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have an exciting opportunity for a Livestream Producer to join the Club for the upcoming season. The role will take ownership of the club’s matchday live stream, ensuring a high quality experience for supporters.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Take end to end ownership of the matchday livestream.
- Manage all aspects of the livestream production, from positioning cameras to final output.
- Communicate with and work alongside a camera operator and the wider media team, including match officials and scorers where required.
- Seek to improve and add to the user experience through the development of additional stream content, including overlays, replays and supporting media.
- Establish ways to increase viewership through a full days play, minimizing drops around breaks in play.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Have at least a solid understanding of cricket
- Have knowledge and preferably experience of broadcast production and/or livestreaming
- Have previous experience working with livestreaming software, preferably vMix
- Be comfortable taking ownership of the full production and striving to deliver the best possible broadcast
- Experience using media production software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects would be an advantage
- Be a troubleshooter and able to react quickly to developing situation
- Possess excellent communication skills with clarity and detail being critical and you will be capable of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
This paid role requires attendance at all Northamptonshire First XI fixtures at The County Ground in 2022, which will involve weekend and evening work.

Lead Performance Analyst
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Performance Analyst to join the Club. The role will engage with Northamptonshire’s players and coaching staff across all stages of the player journey and is an integral member of the professional support staff.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will;
- Act as Lead Performance Analyst for Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
- Ensure accurate and consistent coding of all 1st XI home fixtures in keeping with ECB standards, and an agreed level of service to 2nd XI and Academy fixtures in order to support coaches and players alike. You will explore options to ensure the latter reaches as close to 100% within 3 years.
- Seek to grow the profile and influence of Performance Analysis across the playing department and to ensure players, coaches and support staff are aware of both the potential that your support offers and the part it plays in the “Plan, Do, Review”
- Compliment staff knowledge of the game with objective assessment on both a proactive and reactive basis and establish tools and skills which will help you achieve this quickly and accurately.
- Support team match preparations and post-match review and become a central plank in the evolution of the club’s strategic direction both on and off the field.
- Seek to create a databank that includes other tiers of domestic cricket, including the recreational game. You will develop a similar resource for competitions in other countries as well as global franchise tournaments. These will become a valuable resource to the club in terms of recruitment.
- Seek to work with coaches and support staff to develop their own analysis skills and you will empower them to add to the analytic capabilities of the performance department. Similarly you will help players make the most of the tools at your disposal.

Head Physiotherapist & Clinical Lead
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Cricket are inviting applications for this important role in their Science and Medicine (S&M) team. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Lead Physiotherapist will lead and co-ordinate the medical team, as well as manage and deliver Physiotherapy to all Northamptonshire players.
The Lead Physiotherapist will manage the Clinical Team to best prepare the Senior playing squad for domestic First Class, One-Day/50-over, T20 competitions, Second XI and the Club’s Academy and Pathway programmes. Attendance and service provision for the First XI at all home and away fixtures, as well as training sessions, will be required. The post holder will be responsible for recruiting and line-managing a second Physiotherapist position and ensuring Physiotherapy services are delivered to the Club’s 2nd XI squad, Academy and Pathway programmes.
The Lead Physiotherapist will liaise with the ECB’s S&M team regarding support and management for current and potential England international squad and pathway programme players at the Club. The post holder will lead on delivery of the annual review in the ECB’s Cricket S&M Audit, and will be responsible for communicating key findings and actions to the Head Coach.
The successful applicant will demonstrate high-standard clinical skills, and have experience working in a team environment. Experience working in cricket or another elite sport and leading/managing a multi-disciplinary team is beneficial but not essential. Registration with the HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapists is required.
The role does require extended hours and regular travel throughout the UK during the County season (April-September) which will include weekends and Bank holidays. There may be requirement to attend an overseas tour during the off-season. The post holder will be based at Northamptonshire Cricket Ground, Abington Avenue, Northampton .

Disability Development Officer
Job Title: Disability Development Officer
Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Steelbacks in the Community, in partnership with the Lord’s Taverners wish to appoint a Disability Development Officer to deliver Lord’s Taverners disability programmes (Table Cricket and Super 1s) across Northamptonshire. Through Super 1s, the officer will provide community-based cricketing opportunities, both competitive and coaching, for young people with disabilities. The Development Officer will use the power of cricket as a tool for change, increasing confidence, communication, leadership and independence in the participants. The role will also oversee other disability initiatives including Table Cricket, Champion clubs and the disability pathway which directly contribute to the disability strategy of the ECB / Lord’s Taverners partnership.

JOB PURPOSE & FOCUS
The focus of this role is to deliver the aims and outcomes of the Super 1s programme and disability cricket across Northamptonshire. These include:
- To promote and develop disability cricket in community hubs and offer both participation and competitive opportunities
- Develop initiatives that increase confidence, communication, leadership, and independence. Ensure participants personal growth can develop beyond cricket
- To promote and deliver the Lord’s Taverners Table Cricket programme across Northamptonshire.
- To ensure pathway opportunities for young people with a disability
- To promote and implement the Steelbacks in the Community Disability Development Plan and Policies
The needs of this role are:
- Plan, deliver and review the Super 1s disability community hubs that are aligned to the needs of the local people
- Successfully engage young disabled people aged 12-25 years old into a Super 1s community-based hub
- Deliver a year-round Super 1s programme that is diverse, inclusive and is open to young people with a disability from the community
- Ensure Super 1s delivers an inclusive programme that develops participant’s personal skills and future prospects using cricket as its engagement tool
- Develop cricket opportunities for all players of all standards (coaching, tournaments, teams, or casual play)
- Deliver a year-round Super 1s competition that engages all disability community hubs in a minimum of 3 competition days and a final
- Create a sustainable pathway for higher ability players through increased Super 9s and County squad provision, and signpost players through the existing County squad pathway
- Engage relevant schools, colleges and community groups to become active in Table Cricket
- Train and upskill teachers and group leads to deliver Table Cricket sessions within their school or group
- Run a county-wide Table Cricket competition that feeds into Lord’s Taverners regional structure. County competitions must provide a competitive opportunity for active schools and target participants that have limited access to mainstream competitive opportunities
- Recruit and train Young Leaders across both Super 1s and Table Cricket to support disability cricket activity
- Develop partnerships with external organisations and stakeholders resulting in an enhancement of the cricket development plan
- Manage and run monitoring and evaluation of Super 1s and Table Cricket through the provided online system
- Maintain regular communication and dialogue, whilst also capturing feedback, opinion and a review of satisfaction
- Provide formal written reports and case studies, and ensure that all monitoring and evaluation is undertaken as required
- Work closely with existing cricket clubs to engage with disabled people where possible
- Support the development of the wider pool of volunteers and sports coaches by mentoring and / or signposting for opportunities both formally and informally
- Ensure the branding and identity of the programmes within delivery
- Increase awareness of Super 1s and Table Cricket programmes locally

SUPERVISION AND WORK PLANNING
The Disability Development officer will work across Northamptonshire and will have office space available at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, Abington Avenue, Northampton. NN1 4PR.
The employee’s normal working days will be Monday-Friday and will normally be expected to complete at least 35 hours in a week. The employee will not normally be required to work before 9am, however, due to the nature of the work involved in this position, the employee will be required to work some evenings and possibly weekends. The post holder will be required to carry out their duties at such times and on such days that are the most effective to perform the responsibilities of the position.

Main Responsibilities and Duties
To provide administrative, compliance, logistical and operational support across all departments
within the Boys Talent Pathway.
Enable the successful delivery of the Boy’s Talent Pathway Programme.
Talent Pathway
Trial administration:
– To send out, receive and process pathway nominations from clubs.
– To prepare and distribute information relating to trials to Parents/Guardians
– To support the Recreational Cricket Office regarding online registration and payments of
players
– Preparation of registers.
– Collate player feedback from the Performance Coaches and provide this feedback to
unsuccessful candidates
Performance Programme
– Initial point of contact for Parents and Guardians
– To provide administrative support, as required to the Head of Talent Pathway, Boys
Performance Cricket Manager and Talent Pathway Performance Coaches.
– To distribute to parents and guardians all information relating to the arrangement and
staging of training sessions and games and all other relevant correspondence
– Publication of all information pertaining to the Talent Pathway
– To collaborate with the Recreational Cricket Office and book venues for all boys’ county age
group fixtures, collaborating with clubs, schools, and other cricket venues.

Dynamos Intros Volunteers
Steelbacks in the Community are looking for a number of activators to run our Dynamos Intros programme in Kettering this summer. The programme is supercharged by Sky Sports meaning we have 24 free places available for children within the community. We will be promoting this programme at local schools.
What is Dynamos Cricket?
Dynamos Cricket provides the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport! Dynamos provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them in an exciting game of countdown cricket.
Are you eligible?
• You must be local to the Kettering Community.
• You must be new to Dynamos Cricket and not previously trained as a National Programmes activator.
• No previous experience required, just a passion for getting children active and having fun.
All training is provided and includes;
• Full training & support – including a National virtual induction, local face-to-face training, e-learning provision and mentoring and support from Steelbacks in the Community.
• All kit & equipment to run the programme.
• New Balance Dynamos Cricket shirt, hoodie or mid layer and backpack
• Activator handbook and journal to support on the journey.
• FREE Level 1 coaching course access at the completion of the programme.
