Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce a new multi-year partnership with innovative digital company FanCraze.
The world’s largest cricket NFT platform, FanCraze allows fans to collect moments and player cards of their favourite cricketers, trade with fellow collectors, play cricket strategy games, and unlock unique real-world experiences.
“It’s really exciting to be able to bring a brand like FanCraze on board as an Official Partner.” Northamptonshire Head of Commercial Daniel Vernon said.
“It once again broadens our ever-growing portfolio of partners even further and we’re looking forward to working with them for the next three years.”
The partnership will see the full Northamptonshire squad added to the FanCraze platform alongside 11 other county clubs, alongside existing FanCraze partners including the ICC, SA20 and IPL franchises.
Anshum Bhambri, CEO of FanCraze said: “We are proud to partner with Northamptonshire along with other legendary clubs across the English County ecosystem. We are excited to build a new paradigm of engagement between these storied institutions and their fans by leveraging digital assets, gamification, and money-can’t-buy experiences.”
The agreement marks Northamptonshire’s first entry into the Metaverse, with Northamptonshire’s cricketers and moments officially licensed to appear in the digital space. FanCraze will also join the 1878 Business Club with branding visible around The County Ground.
“FanCraze have been doing some fantastic things within world cricket over the last 12-18 months and it’s great to see this now expand into county cricket. I know everyone is excited to see Northamptonshire players and moments come to life in NFTs.” Vernon added.
