Jack White has signed a new two-year contract with Northamptonshire.

The extension means the pace bowler will remain with the Club across all formats until at least the end of 2024.

“I’m delighted to have signed for another couple of years.” White said.

“I feel like I’m in a really good place with my cricket at the moment so hopefully I can contribute to some success for Northamptonshire in the near future.”

White has proven effective in both first-class and limited overs cricket for Northamptonshire and was particularly impressive in last year’s Royal London Cup with an average of just 22 in the tournament.

“Jack’s a hard worker, he’s a great bloke to have around. The skillset he has as a bowler is exciting.” Bowling Coach Chris Liddle said.

“His red ball skills and the way he has bought into developing those skills over the last couple of winters has been great and he’s starting to see the rewards of that.”

White forms part of a strong bowling group at Northamptonshire and Liddle was pleased by the options that presented.

“You can’t rely on just one or two bowlers to play every single game. We’re trying to build a squad of bowlers so that we can bring people into games and they’ll be able to lead that attack and put in performances for us.

“Jack’s proven that he can do that, he’s shown over the last two matches especially on flat wickets that he’s got wicket taking options and he can bowl for the scoreboard as well.”
