Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Hari Punchihewa to the Board of Directors.

An experienced Finance Director, Hari joined the Board at the start of the month and was delighted to start his role at the club.

“I am an avid sports fan supporting my local county Northamptonshire in both cricket and rugby, holding a Saints season ticket going back 22 years. 

“As a senior Chief Finance Officer with a long years of experience in multi nationals and investment banking, I will be able to make a positive contribution to the club in shaping up its financial stability, future investments and funding structures. 

“I hold a number of board positions and hoping to bring that experience with me to the club. ” Punchihewa said.

Club Chair Gavin Warren was please that Hari has joined the Board.

“We’re delighted to welcome Hari to the Board of Directors.

“Hari brings a lot of knowledge and expertise to the Board and we hope that he will be able to make some very valuable contributions.”

Hari believed that his experience in cricket would be helpful for him and the club going forward.

“For the last 7 years I was a board member at Derbyshire County Cricket Club which is a similar club to us. That gave me a very valuable insight into how the county cricket network operates, the challenges, how to open up opportunities, along with very good connections to ECB which I hope will be beneficial in this role. “
