Following a spell with Leicestershire, where he claimed career best figures of 6-47, Taylor made the move to Wantage Road on a three year deal – keeping him here until 2023.

Taylor announced himself in style for the Steelbacks, leading an unforgettable win against After playing two T20 matches at the end of the 2020 season, he showed huge versatility in 2021, with consistent performances across bat and ball in both red and white ball cricket.


Starting his career at Derbyshire in 2014, Taylor has proved that he can be a match-defining player with both bat and ball.

The explosive all-rounder hit the ground running when he started his career at Northamptonshire, helping the Steelbacks reach the Vitality Blast Quarter Finals in 2020. His unbeaten half century guided his new team to an unlikely victory at Edgbaston in a must win match, to instantly show what he is capable of.

Taylor’s form didn’t slow down in 2021 as he continued to show how dangerous he can be with the new ball and offering lower order runs. He will be looking to continue these scintillating performances into the first division in 2022.
