With career appearances so far restricted by frequent injuries, a fit and firing Ollie Sale is ready to reach his potential after departing Taunton for Wantage Road ahead of the 2023 season.

Tall, strong, and head-banded, the fast bowler has previously displayed the qualities that make him an exciting acquisition for the Steelbacks when opportunities to perform have been made available. Sale was Somerset’s leading wicket-taker in the 2020 Vitality Blast, which included recording figures of 2/28 from his four-over quota at The County Ground. It’s with the white ball that the 27-year-old possess his strongest threat to opposition batters.

More recently, he showed his ability in red-ball cricket with a bowling average of 19.9 in the 2022 Second XI County Championship after missing the 2021 season while recovering from shoulder surgery.
