Nathan Buck has blossomed at Wantage Road since he joined from Lancashire for the 2017 season. The right arm fast-medium has been part a of successful bowling attack which has seen Northamptonshire return to Division One of the County Championship for the first time since 2014.
Buck has proved to be a well-loved character both on the pitch and in the changing room and his 250 first class wickets show the class he has with the ball. However, his skills don’t just come with the ball as Bucky scored his maiden first class 50 during the summer of 2019 hitting 53 at Sophia Gardens against Glamorgan.
He has shown promise from a young age staring in a strong England Under 19s squad that featured the likes of Joe Root, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes. He was England’s leading wicket taker at the 2010 Under 19 World Cup with 13 victims and that season went on to take 49 wickets at 27 apiece.
