Joining the Steelbacks for the 2022 Vitality Blast campaign, the experienced all-rounder is an exciting addition to the T20 side.

With over 10,000 career runs across all formats and achieving back-to-back centuries in his first two test matches for New Zealand, Neesham will bring some serious firepower to the Steelbacks this summer.

Neesham has a wealth of experience across a varied career beginning in first-class cricket with Auckland in 2009.

After a successful move to Otago Volts in 2011 Neesham’s career took off, leading to his test debut for New Zealand in 2014, where he hit a century and followed it up with another one in his second test match – becoming the first New Zealander to achieve this feat.

With international success following throughout his career, Neesham made huge contributions to New Zealand’s 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign.

He didn’t let up in domestic cricket either, seeing huge success in the IPL as well as the Vitality Blast for Derbyshire, Kent and Essex.

With the experience of nearly 200 T20 matches behind him, Neesham brings all-round quality to the Steelbacks for this summer.
