Despite being impacted by injury throughout the year, Brett Hutton had a standout campaign in 2019 and was a key factor in the side’s promotion to Division One.

Hutton claimed 35 wickets atan average of 20 in first-class cricket in 2019 and was a consistent performer with the new ball. The bowling all-rounder also contributed over 200 runs to the cause, playing a role in a number of crucial lower order partnerships.

Joining for the start of the 2018 season Brett Hutton has formed a formidable opening ball partnership in red ball cricket with Ben Sanderson helping  Northamptonshire gain promotion from Division Two of the County Championship.

Since starting at Wantage Road, Hutton’s wickets tally has increased passed 200 and a remarkable 8/57 against Gloucestershire in 2018 is a highlight from Hutton’s Northamptonshire career.

Hutton started his career with the England U19s. His strong performances in five Under-19 one-day internationals against South Africa in 2011 summer earned him a place on winter trips to Bangladesh and Australia, and to the Under-19 World Cup in Australia in 2012, where he scored 55 batting at No. 9 in a warm-up match.

He gained key experience with Nottinghamshire in Division One and that is bound to help the side this season.
