The next generation of Steelback

We’re proud to unveil a new look for the Northamptonshire Steelbacks for 2021 and beyond.

We’re still Steelbacks and we’re still #MadeOfSteel, but we’re excited to be evolving with a new identity that starts with our updated logo.

Since 1999 our white-ball sides have played under the Steelbacks brand and that tradition continues. You’ll find our new logo on our Vitality Blast and Royal London Cup shirts as well as new additions to our Supporters Range.

Shaped by our Steelback Spirit

Our Steelback Spirit encompasses everything we stand for as a Club, it’s a symbol of what it means to be a Steelback and the characteristics that make us who we are.

The spirit of grit, determination, teamwork and steely resolution showed by the Northamptonshire Regiment more than a century ago is what pushes us forward today.

A new era has begun

Our new logo represents the next generation of Steelback, an icon that every boy, girl, man and woman in Northamptonshire can be proud to support and represent.

Shaped by our Steelback Spirit, the new logo reflects our ambition for Northamptonshire County Cricket Club to sit alongside some of the world’s most recognisable sporting brands.

A Part of Who We Are

A new era for the Northamptonshire Steelbacks has begun, but we will never forget our roots. Our traditional Northamptonshire Tudor rose remains the core of Club’s identity and will be the badge proudly worn in first-class cricket.

Our updated Steelbacks branding covers both of the Club’s professional white-ball sides as well as our Talent Pathway, visually impaired and women’s teams.

This is also a new beginning for grassroots cricket across the county as we introduce Steelbacks in the Community as the recreational arm of the Club. The Steelbacks in the Community team will continue to deliver an incredible range of engagement programs throughout the county, including work in schools and the recreational game.
