Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that YMCA Northamptonshire have joined the 1878 Business Club.
YMCA Northamptonshire offer homes, support, advice, training and education to young people.
“It’s an exciting time for YMCA Northamptonshire! Our new project supporting young people leaving care will be launching in the Autumn with a new team and a new vision. Many young people who have experienced care feel that the transition to independent living is too difficult, leaving them to feel unsupported, vulnerable and can begin a cycle of homelessness” commented Lorraine Devereux, Fundraising Officer at YMCA.
“Based in Derngate, Northampton, our new care leavers project will initially support 13 young people with supported housing, health and wellbeing and employment support enabling them to belong, contribute, and thrive”
“We are thrilled to be partners of the 1878 Business Club and connect with the club and wider Northamptonshire community”
YMCA will be joining us at our 1878 Business Club events, as well as being the charity partner of the Club’s Family Day fixture on the 6th August v Sussex Sharks.
“Having such a prestigious charity become a part of our 1878 Business Club is a real step forward for the Club” said Head of Commercial, Daniel Vernon.
“I look forward to welcoming Lorraine and the whole team to The County Ground this summer and seeing how this relationship develops”.
