Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that Tiaan Louw has signed a new contract extension with the Club.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal that runs until the end of 2027.
Louw made his debut for the County against Leicestershire in this year’s Metro Bank One Day Cup and was looking forward to pushing ahead next year.
“I’m extremely grateful to have made my first team debut in the One Day Cup this summer and glad to have been offered another contract for next season.
“I’m going to work hard this winter and hopefully make further appearances and contributions across all formats in 2027.”
Louw first caught the attention of coaches at the age of 17, having been a net bowler during Northamptonshire’s pre-season tour in Stellenbosch.
Louw was a graduate of Bishop’s Diocesan College in South Africa where he played an important part in their season before the left-arm seamer signed a rookie contract in 2024 after impressing in the 2XI.
Head Coach Darren Lehmann was looking forward to continuing the young seamer’s development.
“Tiaan is exciting young cricket who has a lot of excellent attributes.
“He’s had that experience of first team cricket and now we’re looking forward to seeing him develop and start knocking on the door a bit more over the next year.”
