Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to confirm the National County match against Bedfordshire will now take place at The County Ground.

The 50-over game on Tuesday the 20th of July was originally scheduled to be played at Bedford School, but other changes in the fixture calendar allow the match to now be played in front of crowds at Wantage Road.

“Northamptonshire is delighted that there is opportunity within our summer cricket schedule to play our National County neighbour, here at The County Ground.” Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive Ray Payne said.

“The relationship between the two counties is as strong as it has ever been, with some promising emerging players coming through from Bedfordshire as part of our Academy and within our first team squad.

“This fixture allows them to showcase their skills on The County Ground stage.”

All Northamptonshire Season Ticket Holders and Life Members will be able to attend the fixture as part of their Season Ticket.

General Admission tickets are available to order online, adult tickets are £5 and kids are free.

Bedfordshire CCC Chairman Ian Smith said the club are “delighted to be invited to play at the County Ground”.

“We have a good relationship with Northamptonshire CCC and this game will strengthen our association. Our players and supporters are already looking forward to the game.”
