The County Ground will play host to the penultimate match of group B in the Charlotte Edwards Cup when the Sunrisers take on the Thunder.

The T20 fixture on the 28th of August gets underway at 2:30pm with General Admission tickets available now for just £2.

“Since our inception in the summer of 2020 Sunrisers have enjoyed fantastic support from all at Northamptonshire CCC. Having trained at the ground both over the winter and this summer we are incredibly excited to be able to finally step out on the field and perform at The County Ground.”  Sunrisers Regional Director of Women’s Cricket, Danni Warren said.

“Our mission as Sunrisers is to represent and inspire female cricketers across the region, to be playing in Northampton is so important and it presents an opportunity for us to engage with the passionate supporters in the area.”

Alongside the cricket, The County Ground welcomes the return of Bite Street, bringing a range of incredible local street food vendors to the ground. Access to Bite Street is included within the ticket and supporters can enjoy their food while watching the cricket from the stands.

The Sunrisers will be hoping to get back to winning ways and still have a chance to progress to the next round of the competition.

“We are now halfway through our Charlotte Edwards Cup T20 campaign and are looking forward to putting in a performance that showcases the talent within our squad.” Warren said.

“With players currently working hard in our environment, and a number away with Hundred sides, there is a lot of optimism in the camp as we approach the later part of the season.”

Tickets are now available to order online and will also be available on the gate.
