After two excellent wins in the T20 County Cup against Worcestershire Rapids and Shropshire, Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women are back in Metro Bank One Day Cup action as they face the Rapids tomorrow (15th May).
In the competition so far, the Steelbacks sit 5th in the table, having played three, won two (Leicestershire and Gloucestershire) and lost one (Middlesex).
The game will be played at The County Ground, with the format being a 50-over match.
Entry is free to all spectators, with play scheduled to begin at 10:30am, innings change around 2:30pm and the fixture is set to finish around 6pm (dependent on match outcome).
Ahead of the game, we caught up with Women’s Head Coach David Ripley about those wins in the cup, looking to build momentum, and playing at The County Ground again.

Squad information: With a squad of 17 this year, Worcestershire Rapids have a strong mix of top order batting and bowling options. The side currently sit 4th in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, one place above the Steelbacks, having gained one more bonus point. In the T20 County Cup, the Steelbacks won by five wickets, but Worcestershire are not to be taken lightly having had some good results so far in the competition.
