Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women are aiming to build on a brilliant victory last time out against Middlesex as they face Worcestershire Rapids at the cinch County Ground on Sunday.
With two games remaining in this year’s Women’s One Day Cup, the Steelbacks currently sit in third place with the top four qualifying to make the semi-finals on September 13. One win from their last two games could be enough to secure qualification.
The two sides last met in the first match of this year’s T20 Blast competition, a game which the women won by 39 runs.

The game starts at 10:30am on Sunday with free entry for all spectators. The toss will take place at 10am with the match scheduled to finish around 6pm.

Ella Phillips returns to the side after suffering an injury to her nose in the Leicestershire fixture. Michaela Kirk and Ria Fackrell continue on loan, while seamer Emily Carpenter could feature with Bethan Robinson unavailable.

Bryony Gillgrass and Clare Boycott have both hit centuries in the county’s last three fixtures, with the latter also being Worcestershire’s top scorer in the competition so far and definitely one to look out for tomorrow.
