Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women will take on Bucks Women this Thursday as part of the Gateway T20 League event at the cinch County Ground.
The Women will play first, which will then be followed by the Gateway T20 League final.
The fixture provides a good opportunity for the Steelbacks Women to get back into the flow of T20 cricket ahead of the T20 County Cup Quarter-Final versus Essex on Sunday.
David Ripley’s side are the only Tier 2 side left in the competition and a win on Sunday would see them progress to Finals Day on Sunday 29th August.
Match information:
Play at the cinch County Ground starts at 2pm, with the toss at 1:30pm.
Entry is free for all on Thursday with the game taking place before the Gateway T20 League Final at 6pm.
There will be food concessions at the ground, as well as some live entertainment during the interval of the two games.
Squad News:
Both sides will play 12 in this friendly fixture, with Gemma Marriott returning to captain duties.
The game will come as an excellent opportunity for Charlotte Aylemore, Holly Cambers and Sasha Wakeford all to step up from the U18s side whilst Iman Akbar will feature from the U15s.
The four players have put in some excellent performances and have been rewarded with a call up to the senior side.
