Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women will be looking to make it back-to-back wins over Derbyshire Women as they face off in the third round of the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup.
Northamptonshire have worked through the competition in comfortable fashion, defeating Herefordshire by 9 wickets in round one and Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire by 8 wickets in round two.
Derbyshire have made it through with convincing results over Cheshire and Cumbria and will be sure to provide the Steelbacks with a tough test.
The sides met last Sunday in the Vitality Blast Women’s League 2, with the Steelbacks coming out as comfortable winners in a low-scoring affair. A brilliant bowling effort restricted Derbyshire to just 77/5 from 20 overs, a target that the Steelbacks chased down inside 13 overs and with six wickets to spare.

Left-arm seamer Emily Carpenter is back in the squad after recovering from injury. Emma Gibbs is back and is set to take the gloves from Chloe Hill. Beth Ascott also returns having missed the previous game against Derbyshire.
Alicia Presland is unavailable due to injury while Bethan Robinson and Clara Thaker are cup-tied.
