The Vitality Blast returns to Wantage Road as Northamptonshire Steelbacks Men and Women get ready for a historic T20 double header.
For the first time ever, there will be a Northamptonshire double header as the Steelbacks Women take on Leicestershire Foxes at 11am, while the men play after at 3pm.
Sunday will be the first game in the competition for the Steelbacks Women, whereas the men are up and running in the Blast, having beat Yorkshire by 13 runs on Friday.

Squad information: Leicestershire have a squad of 17, with some new arrivals such as Emma Thatcher, the leading wicket-taker in the Women’s County Championship last summer and Ellen Watson, who is a Scottish wicketkeeper with 30 caps at international level. Like Northamptonshire, the side have a couple of players in the squad who are involved with Tier 1 sides such as Flora Davies (The Blaze Academy), Prisha Thanawala (The Blaze).

Key winter moves: With club captain Peter Handscomb choosing to skip the Blast this season, the Foxes have turned to Pakistan international Shan Masood to plug the gap in their batting left by the Australian’s absence. This will be the 35-year-old’s fifth consecutive Blast season with his fourth county. Something similar to his 2022 campaign for Derbyshire, which yielded 555 runs at 42.69, would suit Leicestershire nicely.
