Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Shoosmiths has extended its partnership with the Club for a further year.

Founded in Northampton in 1845, the leading law firm will be continuing its support for Northamptonshire as Josh Cobb’s player sponsor for the 2022 season.

As white ball captain, Cobb will be representing Shoosmiths from the front throughout the Steelbacks white ball campaigns this summer.

Simon Fennell, partner at Shoosmiths, said: “Shoosmiths has a long-running partnership with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.”

As a leading law firm, initially founded in Northampton, we have deep roots in the region and remain committed to supporting the communities we operate in.”

“This year’s partnership will see us get behind the Steelbacks’ white ball captain, Josh Cobb. Josh is a vital player for the club, as shown by his man of the match performances in domestic T20 finals.”

“We wish Josh and the wider team at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club the best of luck for the season ahead.”

Alongside continuing its partnership, Shoosmiths also joins the 1878 Business Club to engage with the other local and national partners of NCCC.

It is fantastic to keep Shoosmiths on board for another season“, said Daniel Vernon, Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Commercial Manager

“It is great to have another local company in the 1878 Business Club, there is a real networking hub there now and Shoosmiths is a key part of that.”
