Gus Miller and James Sales shone for Northamptonshire Second XI despite Glamorgan 2XI scoring 322 on Day one.
Both Sales and Miller secured two wickets each to ensure that the Glamorgan total didn’t run away from them.
James Sales secured the first wicket of the match after bowling Friend to end a 66-run partnership with Cooke. This was followed quickly by Gouldstone catching Cooke behind off the bowling of Gus Miller.
Although Bevan then began his charge towards 130 runs, his partners were dispatched efficiently as Russell caught Taylor off the bowling of Buck and Kellaway was both caught and bowled by Sales for 15 and 10 runs respectively.
Douthwaite proved harder to dispatch as he secured 68 runs from 102 balls in support of Bevan, before Gus Miller bowled him in the evening session.
Bevan continued his scoring run to reach 130 and Glamorgan ended the day 322/5.
