Saif Zaib is set to feature in The Hundred in 2023 after being selected in the Wildcard draft.

Zaib was called up to the Northern Superchargers squad as a late replacement in the latter stages of the 2022 tournament and returns to the same franchise again this year.

The announcement comes after the 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive Vitality Blast campaign, only Australian Chris Lynn scored more runs and nobody hit more sixes than Zaib in the Steelbacks camp. The left-hander is quickly closing in on 1,000 career runs in T20 cricket with a strike rate of 137.

He joins David Willey as the two Steelbacks involved in the tournament, with Northamptonshire’s T20 Captain drafted in the first round by the Welsh Fire.
