Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that Rob Keogh has signed a contract extension with the Club, keeping him with Northamptonshire until at least the end of the 2026 season.

The one-year extension will see Keogh head into his 16th year of professional cricket with the Club.

A true one-club player and now a senior member of the Northamptonshire squad, Keogh made his 1st XI debut in 2010, in a 40-over fixture against Yorkshire at Wantage Road.

Since that debut, the all-rounder has gone on to score 9,962 runs for the County and has backed that up with 220 wickets. Those numbers include 21 hundreds, four 5fer’s and one 10fer.

“I’m delighted to extend my contract for another year at my boyhood club.” Keogh said.

“Northamptonshire is the club I joined on the EPP as a 12-year-old, hoping to make my way in the game. After making my debut in 2010 and winning trophies and promotions with the Club, I still feel like I have more to prove and give, and I’m really looking forward to 2026.”

Keogh is the only cricketer to score a double-century and claim nine wickets in an innings for Northamptonshire in the County Championship, scoring 221 v Hampshire at Southampton in 2013 and taking 9-52 v Glamorgan at Northampton in 2016, finishing with 13-125 in the match.

This season, Keogh has made important contributions with the bat and demonstrated his resilience at the crease, striking his 18th first-class century in July against Derbyshire and a resilient 61 against Middlesex, an innings which lasted 292 minutes.

Head Coach Darren Lehmann was glad to be keeping Keogh around.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for everything he’s given the Club since a young age.

“Rob’s now one of the senior members of the squad who brings so much experience and knowledge to the dressing room.

“We’re all very happy to be keeping him at the Club and hopefully seeing him perform for another year.”
