Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Limited is pleased to provide a concise summary of the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club Directors’ Report and financial statements for the 12 months ended 31 January 2026.
During the year, Northamptonshire CCC recorded a profit before tax of £487k a result enhanced by distributions arising from certain host counties selling all or part of their interest in their respective Hundred franchises.
Excluding these distributions, the Club’s underlying financial performance was as small profit. Gate revenues remained resilient, supported in particular by the Club’s men’s T20 Blast campaign, which culminated in an away quarter-final victory at Surrey and an appearance at Finals Day.
Gary Hoffman, Northamptonshire CCC Chair, said:
“In my first year as Club Chair we have set out our long term strategy for competing in the expected domestic cricket structure and for financial stability and resilience. The injection provided by the Hundred monies has given us a financial platform on which to plan. Albeit that Northamptonshire’s relevance in the domestic structure continues to be challenged by The Hundred competition.
This long term plan has enabled us to make choices on and off the field with more confidence – and we have invested responsibly to compete in all formats and in facilities.
Working closely with the Steelbacks Foundation, local leagues and the communities where access to our sport can be challenging, we are seeking to create greater opportunities for participation.
The recent partnership with Brixworth Cricket Club provides the Club with an important long-term strategic opportunity to increase participation in, and support for, cricket across the County.”
The Club has established sustainable strategies across both men’s and women’s cricket and will continue to invest in its playing squads, player pathways, facilities, community programmes and commercial activities.
Ray Payne, Northamptonshire CCC Chief Executive Officer, said:
“2025 should be viewed as another successful year for the Club, both on and off the field. The appointment of Darren Lehmann as our Men’s Head Coach, together with David Ripley as Head Coach of the newly formed Steelbacks Women, has strengthened our cricket leadership, and I am confident that greater success on the field will follow.
“I would also like to recognise the fantastic support the Club has received from our supporters, the Northamptonshire business community, our stakeholders and the whole team at NCCC. Their continued commitment is helping us to move the Club forward.”
