The 2025 Rothesay County Championship kicks off tomorrow (Friday 4th April), and we’re thrilled to open the season at Wantage Road against Kent.

This marks the first competitive fixture under new Head Coach, Darren Lehmann and we know you will be right behind the team as they take to the field.

Everyone is looking forward to welcoming you back to Wantage Road for what promises to be an exciting season.

Gates open at 10am and play starts at 11am, with 96 overs scheduled for the day.

Lunch is scheduled for 1pm and tea is scheduled for 3:40pm. Entry for spectators is free after tea.

Ahead of the game, we caught up with Darren to hear his thoughts:

Opponent preview:

Captain: Daniel Bell-Drummond

Head Coach: Adam Hollioake

2024 finish: 10th (Division One)

2024 highest run-scorer: Daniel Bell-Drummond (853)

Key winter moves: Adam Hollioake’s appointment as Head Coach was a surprise to everyone, including the man himself. Chris Benjamin will provide competition to Harry Finch in the wicket-keeper/batter role, although arguably the biggest surprise was the news Ben Compton had decided to stay put, as he was rumoured to be leaving after being inexplicably excluded from the 50-over squad.
