Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Luke Procter has signed a new two-year contract extension with the Club.
The new deal means that Procter will remain with the Club until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Since joining the Club in 2017, Procter has made over 100 first-class appearances for Northamptonshire and was very pleased to be staying with the county.
“I’m delighted to be staying with at Northamptonshire for another two seasons. I feel like it’s my home and I love representing the Club and playing with all of the lads,” Procter said.
“I feel as though we’re building something special under the leadership of Darren and to be able to be part of that means a lot to me,” he added.
Procter has enjoyed a strong start to 2026, captaining Northamptonshire to two County Championship wins against Worcestershire and Gloucestershire respectively, while also enjoying some personal success with a new career-best of 261* against Kent.
Head Coach Darren Lehmann was pleased to be keeping such an important figure at the Club.
“We all love Proccy. His leadership, skillset and understanding of the game are crucial to us as we look to keep moving forward as a team.
“He’s the ultimate professional and a senior member of the squad so we’re delighted that he’s staying for another couple years.”
