Lewis McManus will remain at Northamptonshire until at least the end of 2025.

The 29-year-old was still in contract until the end of the year but will now stay at Wantage Road for at least another 12 months after signing a one-year extension.

“I’m delighted to have extended my contract at such a fantastic club with great people.” McManus said.

Despite a challenging 2023, McManus is looking to push forward on the field and bounce straight back.

“After a frustrating season last year, I’m feeling really optimistic about the upcoming campaign and I’m determined, alongside the rest of my teammates, to get this club back to Division One where we belong.”

Head Coach John Sadler was pleased to lock down the Northamptonshire keeper for another year.

“Lewis is a model professional who works incredibly hard at his game and is a leader in the dressing room.” Sadler said.

“He’s a massive part of our squad in all three formats and we’re delighted that we’ve extended his contract at the club.

“Last year was tough for him, but he’s taken himself off to India and we’ve made some technical changes to his game which we’re already seeing the positive signs from and he’s ready to really kick on.”
