Jack White will join Yorkshire after the 32-year-old exercised a clause in his agreement to negotiate an early move to a team in Division One.

Having done everything to try to keep Jack and with the hope that he would remain as a Northamptonshire player, the Club are naturally disappointed that he doesn’t see his future with us, but we would like to wish him well for the future.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Northamptonshire and I’m very grateful for the opportunities and help I’ve received from everybody at the club to get where I am today. However, I feel the time is now right to move onto the next stage of my career.” White said.

“I’ll always look back with fond memories of my time at Northampton, especially out on the field with the lads. I’d also like to thank the fans who have always supported me and I wish the club all the best in the future.”

Northamptonshire gave White his first-class debut in 2020 after a difficult year with injuries and the seamer quickly progressed over the next couple of years, becoming an integral part of the Northamptonshire red ball bowling attack, taking 50 wickets in the 2023 County Championship.

Northamptonshire Chief Executive Ray Payne thanked White for his time at the Club.

“While it is a real shame that Jack has decided to move elsewhere, everyone would like to thank him for his efforts in a Northamptonshire shirt and we wish him the best moving forward.”
