Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to partner with Houghton Hams ahead of the 2026 season.

Houghton Hams are a family run business passionate about providing the finest British pork from regional farms.

Awarded several prestigious awards in the industry, Houghton Hams produce a high-quality product of ham, gammon and bacon thanks to its unique ‘Wagstaff Complete Cure’ established in 1983. Celebrating its 43rd year in operation, Houghton Hams has continued to thrive through generations and now operates nationwide.

Nigel Wagstaff, Director at Houghton Hams said:

“Our former years of involvement with the Club were with Rob Bailey and Hospitality. Alan Lamb was kind enough to support our Charity Calendar (The Anne Diamond SIDS appeal Calendar) for 1992 with a picture of him with our Cartoon Character Henry the Houghton Ham.

“We have tried to support the club whenever possible over the years. We celebrated our 40 years in business with a fabulous night within the clubs facilities in 2023. Wishing the Club every success for the coming season.”

Having previously been in partnership with the Club, Houghton Hams’ relationship with the Club as of 2026 will see them sponsor Northamptonshire Steelbacks’ Vitality Blast match against Worcestershire Rapids on Tuesday 9th June. The Houghton Hams team will be welcomed to Wantage Road for the game.

Chief Operating Officer at NCCC, Daniel Vernon, said, “Re-connecting and being in partnership with the Houghton Hams is great.

It’s a partnership I’m really excited about and I’m looking forward to welcoming them to Wantage Road for our game against Worcestershire Rapids.”
