Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Gus Miller has signed a new one-year contract with the Club.

The new deal will see him remain at the cinch County Ground until at least the end of the 2027 season.

“I’m really happy to sign a new contract at the Club,” Miller said.

“It’s a great time to be a player at Northamptonshire, and to see how this Club is moving forward is awesome.”

The 24-year-old made his debut for the county in a tour match against India in 2022 and has since gone on to play 36 times across all formats.

Miller featured in the T20 Blast winning campaign and is eager to be continuing his journey with the Club.

“It’s a privilege to be part of such a special group like this.”

“I’m looking forward to keep improving and keep pushing my case to play more and more first team cricket.”

In August, the all-rounder had a more prominent role in the One Day Cup side, opening alongside Ricardo Vasconcelos.

The academy graduate hit his maiden professional hundred when he scored a brilliant 115 from 110 versus Lancashire at the cinch County Ground, an innings which included 13 boundaries.

With 212 runs, Miller ended as the Steelbacks third highest run scorer in this year’s tournament as the side fell just short of qualification.

Northamptonshire’s 552nd first-class player was also in fine form when called upon in the County Championship as an injury replacement scoring 61 versus Durham in June, as well as numerous strong performances with the 2XI across the season.

Head Coach Darren Lehmann was pleased that Miller has signed a new deal.

“We’re very pleased to have Gus with us for at least another year.”

“He’s a wonderful character to have around the changing room, and he’s put in some good performances this year, so we’re hoping to see him build on that going into next season.”
