Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that George Bartlett has signed a one-year contract extension with the Club.
The new deal will keep him with Northamptonshire until the end of the 2027 season.
Bartlett has been in good form this season and has produced a number of positive returns with the bat. Most notably his stunning 95* in the first game of the season against Lancashire, a knock which helped secure a tense draw and kickstart a positive start to the season for the Club.
“I’m really pleased to be staying with Northamptonshire for another year,” Bartlett said.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at the Club so far, and it’s been nice to make some positive contributions this year so hopefully I can continue that throughout the rest of the season.
“Hopefully as a Club as well we can push for promotion in the County Championship and get some success in the Blast too.”
The 28-year-old has passed the half century mark three times this season and has played an important role in battling away and securing lower order runs. His 262 runs at an average of just over 43 places him in the top 5 run scorers for Northamptonshire in the County Championship this season.
Head Coach Darren Lehmann was full of praise for Bartlett.
“We’ve been really impressed with George over the last six months and the changes he’s made to his game. We know he has the ability and we’re seeing important runs being made.”
