For the first time in their history, Northamptonshire will take their place in Division One of the LV= Insurance County Championship for the second consecutive season when the 2023 season kicks off on the 6th of April.
The ECB have now confirmed fixtures for the 2023 domestic season, beginning with an away clash with Kent and followed by back-to-back home matches at The County Ground against Middlesex and Hampshire.
Ten years after the Steelbacks’ maiden T20 title, David Willey returns to kick off the 2023 Vitality Blast campaign at The County Ground against Worcestershire Rapids. The tournament promises to serve up action-packed cricket with an atmosphere to match – highlighted by three Friday night matches against Durham, Lancashire and Leicestershire.
The schedule also includes a T20 double-header with the Sunrisers in action in the Charlotte Edwards Cup before the Steelbacks take on Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.
The Royal London Cup returns in August, with an away clash with Gloucestershire in Cheltenham on the 6th. The Steelbacks then welcome Sussex, Somerset, Worcestershire and Derbyshire to The County Ground, with further away trips to Durham, Warwickshire and Glamorgan.
