Domestic Fixtures Announced for 2022

Two years after gaining promotion, Northamptonshire will take their place in Division One of the LV= Insurance County Championship when the 2022 season kicks off on the 7th of April.

The ECB have now confirmed the fixtures for the 2022 domestic season, beginning with back to back home matches for Northamptonshire at The County Ground against Gloucestershire and Yorkshire. 2022 will see more first-class cricket played through the height of the summer, with five rounds of the LV= Insurance County Championship scheduled across June and July.

Celebrating its 20th birthday, the Vitality Blast promises to serve up action-packed cricket with an atmosphere to match – highlighted by three Friday night matches against Durham, Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The schedule also includes a T20 double-header with the Sunrisers in action in the Charlotte Edwards Cup before the Steelbacks take on Derbyshire in the Vitality Blast.

The Royal London Cup returns in August, with Community Day at The County Ground on the 7th. The Steelbacks then welcome Glamorgan, Worcestershire and Derbyshire to The County Ground, with away trips to Yorkshire, Hampshire, Kent and Lancashire.
