Rain dominated most of Day 3 after an early onslaught from the Glamorgan tail saw the visitors reach 547.
The Glamorgan 10th wicket partnership exploded out of the gate to begin the day, Hogan and van der Gugten adding 95 in just 45 minutes before Hogan eventually hauled out to long off for 54. This ended Glamorgan’s innings on 547, a lead of 338. Curran and Vasconcelos opened up for the home side and the pair looked comfortable. Curran the more fluent of the pair, began to eat into the deficit with some fine boundaries, as the partnership moved onto 50 in the 15th over of the innings. Vasconcelos (18*) began to find his feet as the openers went into lunch with the score reading 68/0, Curran finishing the session on the edge of a half-century at 48*.
Rain soon began to fall as lunch continued, with a provisional start time of 3pm given. However, just before play was set to resume the umpires decided the light was not sufficient with rain then beginning to fall once more, dispelling hope of a resumption in play. Tea was called for 4pm, however more rain saw play abandoned just before 5:30pm.
