George Bartlett hit an unbeaten quick-fire 65 from 35 but Northamptonshire 2XI fell to a eight wicket DLS defeat against Warwickshire 2XI.
Bartlett smashed six 4s and three 6s while Aadi Sharma hit 27 off 18, with the pair the highlight for the 2XI as they put on a partnership of 67 runs from 32 balls.
After an initial 90 minute delay because of rain at Campbell Park, play got underway with both teams reduced to 16 overs.
Northamptonshire 2XI won the toss and chose to bat first in Milton Keynes as David Willey and recent 2XI centuiron Aum Raykar opening up.
The pair made a steady start putting on 22 runs within the opening three overs but with the first ball of the fourth over, Willey was dismissed for 7 after edging one through to the keeper.
Raykar managed to work his way to 23 off 17 before falling to the same fate as Willey, edging behind to give Maddy his second catch of the game.
Saif Zaib was the next to fall three overs later, miscuing one to backward point for 15. Bartlett however was enjoying himself and playing with freedom at the crease after his incredible 152 last week. The 26-year-old helped the 2XI recover from a tricky start and brought up his half century in 31 balls, striking five 4s and three 6s.
The 2XI finished their innings 161/5 after the rescheduled 16 overs, leaving the Bears 2XI needing a revised target of 154 from 15 overs.
The away side got off to a dream start, posting an opening partnership of 107 from 67 before Saif Zaib picked up the opening wicket thanks to a Gus Miller catch in the deep in the 11th over.
Michael Finan struck in the following over, dismissing the other opener with a smart one handed caught and bowled.
It wasn’t to be for the 2XI though as Richardson and Mohammed blitzed a 42 run partnership in just 13 balls to secure an eight wicket win with an over to spare.
The two teams were scheduled to play two T20 fixtures but the second was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
