It was another strong day for Northamptonshire 2XI on Day 2, as Academy spinner Nirvan Ramesh took six wickets.

Day 2 started in similar fashion to Day 1 with a strong start from the batting side. Moulton and Lloyd built a strong partnership guiding Leeds/Bradford to 144/2 at the lunch break. 

Shortly after lunch Lloyd was bowled by Ramesh in the 43 over after making an impressive 96. 

Not long after, Ramesh picked up the wicket of Moulton leaving Leeds/Bradford UCCE 177/4 

Ramesh continued to cause problems for Leeds/Bradford UCCE into the afternoon session picking up the wickets of Dunnett, Van Der Merwe and Pearson. 

Leeds/Bradford, headed into tea 295/8 looking to close the gap to the 2XI. 

Soon after tea, Ramesh picked up where he left off by dismissing Fletcher. Following his dismissal, Leeds/Bradford declared for 303. 

At the start of the 2XI innings, Arush Buchake and Krish Patel made a positive start to the 2nd Innings making 46 before Buchake was dismissed by Bulteer. 

Aadi Sharma was in at 3 but was caught LBW first ball, leaving the 2XI 46/2, which was quickly followed by the wicket of Patel, bowled by Dunnett. 

Hayward and Strydom looked to stabilise the innings and saw out the day unbeaten. 

The 2XI go into the final day in a strong position leading by 133 runs.
