Over the summer, the Steelbacks in the Community team presented summer camps to children of all ages across the county.

The team successfully produced nine summer camps, two sixes day and five free family fun days in partnership with local councils.

From mixed hardball camps to skills days, across the summer we saw 159 individual sign ups, with 101 boys and 58 girls taking part.

Some lucky participants from our Sixes Days at The County Ground were also chosen to be part of Northamptonshire Steelbacks Ring of Steel and Guard of Honour in their Vitality Blast quarter-final vs Somerset.

As a thank you for attending our summer camps, 80 Goodie Bags were given out to participants who attended all days of a single camp.

Steelbacks In The Community are also proud to say that over the course of the summer camps, 70 free places were given to children that currently receive free school meals. Along with the children enjoying their time at the camps, they also received 30 minute nutritional workshops.

Thank you to all the venues across the county for hosting summer camps this year and to everyone involved in the organising and running of the camps across the summer.
